Speak, review and share

Press and hold to speak, then release to translate. Review the text and reverse-translation before playing audio. Large-text mode helps you show a result when the surroundings are noisy, and history keeps useful phrases accessible.

Prepare before you lose signal

Install the app while you have a reliable connection. Complete setup, test a short conversation in airplane mode, and keep important hotel addresses and travel details available separately. Offline operation does not guarantee that every accent, recording or sentence will translate correctly.

Why the developer built it

Conversations with travelers in the r/travelchina community highlighted a recurring problem: a translation app can become unavailable when a traveler’s connection fails. AiTrans grew out of that need for a local fallback. The development work focused on finding translation models small enough to run on phones.

Choose between two separate apps

Start with AiTrans if Chinese-English is your main requirement. Explore VocalTrans if you need to check its listed support for Cantonese, Japanese or Korean. These are separate products, not a renamed download.

Product details checked against the Google Play listing on 23 October 2026. For support, email [email protected] with your device and app version.

AiTrans Questions

Which languages does AiTrans support?

Chinese-English voice translation is the current primary mode. The Google Play listing includes English and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Additional languages are plans, not promised current features.

Can I use it without an internet connection?

AiTrans is designed for offline translation after installation. Before traveling, finish setup and try your required conversation in airplane mode on your own device.

Does reverse-translation guarantee accuracy?

No. Reading a reverse-translation may help you notice an error, but it is not independent verification. Rephrase uncertain wording and get qualified help for medical, legal or other high-stakes decisions.

Is AiTrans the same app as VocalTrans?

No. They are separate Winki apps. AiTrans currently focuses on Chinese-English translation; VocalTrans lists additional languages including Cantonese, Japanese and Korean. Check each listing before choosing.

What platforms and pricing are available?

AiTrans has an Android listing on Google Play with in-app purchases and subscription options. Check the listing and purchase screen for current regional prices and terms. This page does not offer an iOS download.
